Professor Sung Woo Kim Visited Our College for Academic Exchanges

At 9:30 a.m. on August 27, 2018, Professor Sung Woo Kim of North Carolina State University, the editor of the Journal of Animal Science in the field of animal nutrition, the reviewer of the US Department of Agriculture and the American Nutrition Society, visited our college for academic exchanges. In the 4th session of the Animal Science Lecture, Professor Sung Woo Kim exchanged his opinions with our teachers and students. Subsequently, Professor Sung Woo Kim gave an academic report entitled "Evaluation of intestinal health of young pigs and nutritional implications". He highlighted the importance of nutrition strategies to help the finishing pigs to select functional components and to maintain the intestinal health of weaned piglets, the use of bacteria (DFM) and enzymes and functional amino acids, and the cause of growth retardation and reduced food intake caused by small intestine damage. He illustrated that the intestinal health of weaned piglets without AGP can maintained by fully observed and managed the intestinal status, etc., and briefly introduced the research on inflammation, intestinal morphology, intestinal growth performance and intestinal oxidation.     A group photo After the report, all the attendants exchanged actively and learned the most popular knowledge about intestinal health, which benefited them a lot.
