On the morning of July 4th, Professor Yang Weihua, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Animal Science and Technology of Shihezi University, and a group of 16 people went to our college for research and exchange. Secretary of the Party Committee Wu Yatai, Dean Jiang Qingyan, Deputy Secretary Zhang Haiping, Associate Dean Xie Qingmei, Associate Dean Nie Qinghua and related teachers attended the forum. The forum was chaired by the Secretary of the Party Committee Wu Yatai.
The forum
At the forum, Secretary Wu Yatai gave a welcome speech. Dean Jiang Qingyan extended a warm welcome to the representatives from College of Animal Science and Technology, Shihezi University. He also introduced the history of our college, the faculty and the status quo of the disciplines. The two sides exchanged and discussed their opinions on undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training, interdisciplinary construction, industry-university-research cooperation and other aspects, and expressed the hope that on the basis of student exchanges and teacher counterpart support, we will further cooperate in discipline construction, personnel training and scientific research projects to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits.
Zhang Haiping, Xie Qingmei, and Nie Qinghua introduced respectively the the work in charge. The two sides held heated discussions on issues related to the university's industry-university-research cooperation and youth teacher training, and both hoped that the future cooperation between the two sides will focus on discipline construction and further strengthen cooperation in scientific research and personnel training.

Later, teachers from Shihezi University also visited the National Engineering Research Center for Swine Breeding, Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Agricultural Animal Genomics and Molecular Breeding and Wens Food Group Co., Ltd..
